What are Parent Properties and Child Properties?

The Property History section in GeoWarehouse shows Parent and Child Properties, following the Plans, Surveys & Easements section. The Parent Property is the Main Property (Subject Property). When divided into smaller parcels, these become Child Properties with new active PINs, and the Parent Property is marked inactive.
